1. Who We Are

ValLedger is a product of Valtrx. We build software tools for service businesses. When you use ValLedger, you're trusting us with your business data. We take that seriously.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following information:

  • Account information (name, email, password hash)
  • Business data (clients, invoices, jobs, expenses, payments, estimates)
  • Receipt images uploaded for scanning
  • Usage data (feature usage, page views)
  • Integration tokens (encrypted, for QuickBooks and Stripe connections)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide and improve ValLedger. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your business data for advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models. Your data is yours.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS infrastructure. Payments are processed by Stripe. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We share data with third-party services only when you explicitly connect them:

  • Stripe: Payment processing data (invoice amounts, client email for receipts)
  • QuickBooks Online (Intuit): Client names, emails, invoice details, payment records, expense records — only when you connect QuickBooks
  • Google Gemini AI: Text prompts from the Val command bar and receipt images for scanning — processed in real-time, not stored by Google for training
  • Resend: Email addresses for sending invoices, receipts, and notifications

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not use your data to train AI models.

6. Data Retention

Your data is stored as long as your account is active. If you cancel, you can request a data export within 30 days. After 30 days, data may be permanently deleted.

7. QuickBooks-Specific Disclosures

When connected to QuickBooks Online:

  • Data shared: client names, email addresses, invoice details, payment records, expense details
  • Purpose: one-way synchronization of business records
  • You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which revokes ValLedger's access to your QuickBooks account
  • We do not use QuickBooks data for training AI models or for any purpose other than syncing your records

8. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, request deletion of your account and data, or update your information at any time. Contact us at hello@valtrx.com.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
